I sat, folded in a chair, looking at her only 2 feet away. She was pouring her heart out to me. She has been in spiritual coaching for months and making huge progress. She was actively allowing her uniqueness to lead and allowing herself to be the person whom she had always been before limiting thoughts were put on her.
I will be as I am written, courage on every page
Those words move through me in the most intense way each time the song crosses my reality. Eyes open or eyes closed. Dancing or in complete stillness. Day or night. Early morning or mid-day. Winter or summer. Solidly grounded or solidly in spirit. It doesn’t seem to matter. When those words meet me, they move through me. They wash over me. They penetrate my soul.

Storytelling
As my body began to return to a state of peace the lesson landed so deeply in me that it felt like being struck by lightning. Why was I listening to someone else to find my own flow? The way the universe works through me is unique to me. Looking at the way that the universe works through someone else can’t and won’t help me.
Respect my NO
My son and I sat in the doctors office for a well child visit, waiting for the nurse to come back with a vaccine. She walked in and explained what she was going to do. She slowly approached him to clean the location where she intended to give him a vaccination.
He shook his head and his hand at her.
“No” he said while he continued to shake his hand.
You have to trust me
Years later, I look back at that night and that conversation and my heart hurts. My heart hurts for the version of me who needed to question myself. It wasn’t ever that I couldn’t trust him, it was that I shouldn’t trust him. I am capable of trusting anyone who I should trust, and I went on to prove that to myself.

Bumper Bowling
“What was it like being raised by your parents” she asked.
“Oh, like bumper bowling” I responded. Years ago, I decided to describe things in form of energy and stop trying to use the English language in the traditional sense but, try to use it in the way that describes energy. I often will describe something as very green or thuddy or thick or dense or wispy or round or flowy.
