You know those days that seem to never end? The ones that go on and on. The ones that seem like a revolving door of busy. I had been through one of those and was happy that the day was coming to an end. I was about to shut my laptop when I got a nudge from spirit.

I made the decision to send a brief email following up on an application that I had submitted to the town. At this point when spirit gives me a nudge I listen. I had not heard back about the application and was surprised. I sent a quick email checking in to see where things were at, and if the application was approved for the board to review. I didn’t have intentions of checking my email again that night but moments later I got another nudge from spirit. I opened my email and found a response that I was scheduled to be presenting my application in 35 minutes at the select board meeting. I had never received communication from the town and if spirit had not nudged me I never would have attended the meeting. Ultimately, my application was approved and I’m excited to be able to offer services outdoors now at my property.

Occasionally, someone will ask me what the benefit is to a spiritual awakening. Sometimes, I have a hard time articulating the vast and deep volume of benefits. We can easily talk about the fact that my spiritual awakening resulted in clarity in my life, peace in my home, joy throughout my day and healing of my wounds. The big examples are easy to explain, however something as simple as attending this meeting is a direct result of my spiritual awakening. This is just a simple example, of which there are countless other examples, of the benefits of understanding and exploring your own spiritual gifts.
