Cross legged on the floor in the middle of the doorway. That is where I was sitting. The doorways in life have always brought me comfort. I have solidly lived my life with one foot in two places, it is where I thrive.

As I walked in the crisp autumn weather reflecting on my behavior and what made me ask who the friend was, I was reminded of an affirmation that felt whole and real in my body. It was a message that I clearly needed to hear and remember.
