They said that a goldfish will only grow to the size of its home. This is only partially true. Goldfish are indeterminate, meaning that they will grow until they die as long as they are properly cared for. It is really rather sad, when you stop and think about it. How many fish are in tiny bowls, unable to grow to their potential because their world is kept too small and their water is too stagnant.
I remember the first time I saw a goldfish in a small bowl during a reading. Often I get messages in signs and symbols and whenever I see a new one I typically get excited. It took me a minute to understand the goldfish symbol. “Your bowl is too small.” Meaning, you need to expand your mindset and your current sense of reality to reach your full potential. You are keeping yourself small by living in a tiny bowl.
Have you ever met someone who helped you realize that your bowl was too small? Someone who pushed you to expand and grow. Someone who carried your glass bowl to the edge of a lake and let you look out. Then, in an instant, your bowl was too small and you knew it?
