My body is the best divination tool that I have. In fact, I didn’t use any divination tool for a long time because I found that I was far more detailed and accurate without another tool. It took me some time to understand how to let the tool be a support rather than the driving force.
If you read my blogs, you may remember the baby calf who I found in the woods last spring with dowsing. That was without a tool, just using my body. In my role as a Physical Therapist, I was often asked to work on research and development of new wheelchair cushions because I was so sensitive to the small details of the cushion. It is my truth, that people who are sensitive to energy are sensitive (foods, touch, taste, smell, energy changes, medication etc). It is also my truth that everyone can be this sensitive, you just need to learn to tune into your body and the feedback it is giving you. Yet another truth of mine is that our environment is a physical representation of our energetics. For example, when I feel scattered, unsettled and ungrounded, my kitchen and bedroom are almost always cluttered or messy. When I feel aligned and in flow then my house is clean and well organized.
I remember the day it really hit me. My body was literally telling me about my energetics. I began to realize that each time I would gain weight with no reason, I was energetically feeling heavy and struggling to release that which was not serving me. Each time I lost weight without trying, I would be feeling light and in alignment. My body was the divination tool. I mean, why wouldn’t this make sense? I used it for feedback all of the time, so why wouldn’t my actual physical body be a divination tool. So, I started reading it more closely. If I got hives or had pain I would stop and ask myself what my body was showing me and almost always I found an energetic reason behind it. Much like a Tarot deck or a pendulum, I began to recognize my body as a divination tool and started to read it. The more time I spend learning about myself the more I realize this divination tool is amazingly sensitive and accurate and the best divination tool that I will ever have.
