“I thought I was going to learn more about spirit communication in the workshop” she said. I paused because I wanted to hear her. I thought my description of the spiritual awakening workshop made it clear that it wasn’t spirit communication, but it obviously was not clear for her.
“I already knew a lot of those things from other training I have done with you” she said. Again, I paused. If she knew them, really knew them, then why wasn’t she demonstrating them? I didn’t want to be rude to her but the fact was that she wasn’t demonstrating them. She was starting to demonstrate them, which was wonderful but it wasn’t consistent. The ironic thing is, I said multiple times during the workshop that I won’t teach spirit communication until someone has these basic skills mastered, it would be irresponsible of me and pointless for the person. If you do not have the base building blocks then you certainly can’t build on them, it is just that simple in my opinion. Now, having said that, you can find lots of mediums who will teach you spirit communication without understanding the building blocks, but I will never be that medium. It is those very building blocks that give you the tools and structure to safely explore mediumship. Often, once someone has the tools they naturally progress in their mediumship skills.
Less than a week after the workshop she called to ask me about the increase in spirit communication and messages that she was getting. She wanted me to validate the experiences for her. I smiled and pointed out that it appeared the workshop worked for her. Not only did she hold a significant boundary with someone, she was demonstrating a healthy psychic hygiene practice, was creating sacred space and had been in a container of high vibration people……. And then got an increase in spirit communication. Weird. Actually, not really. Not at all. It was exactly what I expected would happen for her. As you integrate information and knowledge and start to demonstrate it, the real power of any workshop that you attend will be clear to you. It is all about integration, sweet ones!
