What if

Have you ever met someone and thought that they would be part of your life forever, only to find that they only came to teach you a lesson? They were never meant to be forever, they were meant to help you grow? Were you upset when they exited your life because you thought that they were meant to be there?

Yeah, me too. I like to think about it like the theater. We are all playing roles and parts in the larger production. Sometimes, people play different roles for you and they play their part well. They make you believe it. They have you at the edge of your seat longing for the next step. However, if they didn’t play their role well then you wouldn’t be able to learn and grow. When the person plays the role well, you can’t be mad at them as it was for your own growth and development.

What if their sole role, with you, in your human experience was to support your growth?

What if without experiencing that growth you would struggle to reach the best version of you or the happiest version of you?

What if, without the loss of them you would be staying on a path that didn’t serve you well and their exit from your life made you shift to a new path?

What if, they were the best thing that ever happened to you but not because they worked out the way you wanted them to, but because they didn’t

What if you are mad at them or upset with them, but you agreed to this plan before having this human experience?

What if you asked to learn this lesson and they agreed to help you?

What if you were the one who asked them not to stay but you can’t remember it because it was before you started this human experience?

What if…… what if, what you meant to say was “thank you” for loving my soul enough to not stay and to help me grow.
