Breathing Spring

There is something about early spring that I adore.I have always wanted to bottle up that energy and save it. I love just sitting in the early morning energy of a spring day, breathing it into my body, breathing it into my soul, breathing it into my reality.  It is the same feeling that I get when I watch someone grow and open on their spiritual path. It is about progression and new beginnings. It is about expansion and opportunity. It is about new starts and potential.

When we leave winter, we leave a timeframe where things look more dull and aren’t as pretty. When we step into spring, we step into vibrant energy and magick in the air. We step into new life all around us, budding and blooming in every direction. The bees are buzzing, moving quickly from one plant to another, spreading potential and health. The birds fly here and there singing as they make their new homes. If you sit quietly in nature you may get to see new babies born with the warmth and energy of the spring. You can almost “feel” the new beginnings happening all around you and it is hard not to get caught up in that energy.

The transition from winter to spring reminds me so much of shadow work. When we step out of the darkness and heaviness of shadow work we step into the excitement of blooming and budding growth. So, if you find yourself in the darkness of shadow work, just remember that at the end of the winter we always find spring where we can bloom and grow. Just like we can get caught up in the energy of spring, we can also get caught up in the energy of winter. Be mindful to recognize that it is a process and as you heal your wounds through shadow work, you will be stepping into higher vibration energy soon.
