Are you scared of silence? Do you keep your days so busy and so full that you couldn’t possibly have silence? Do you have stimulation from all directions? Is every moment filled to the brim, overflowing?

If you, like so many, find yourself scared of silence then you may want to ask yourself what you are avoiding. Are you avoiding having to sit with your own thoughts? What if you sat with them just a moment, felt them just a little, embraced them just a touch?
What if the very thoughts and truths that you are avoiding are the ones that can set you free from a life filled to overflowing? What if sitting with your thoughts allowed you to enjoy life again, sink into life again? What if it created change but that change was ultimately the best change of your life? What if the key to unlocking happiness could only happen when you slowed down. Let’s be honest, who unlocks a lock while running past it?
