Rose. Quartz. Mediumship.
For a long time, when people heard the name of my company, they heard one word.
RoseQuartzMediumship.
Spoken quickly, it almost blends together.
One name.
One identity.
One thing to understand.
But I remember the day the name found me.
Because that is how it felt.
It did not feel like I created it.
It felt like it arrived.
And when it arrived, I was both drawn to it and intimidated by it.
Mediumship felt bold.
It felt powerful.
It felt bigger than the version of myself I knew at the time.
There was a part of me that wondered:
"Am I really this?"
"Am I ready for this?"
"Can I hold what this name represents?"
At the time, I thought I was questioning the name.
But looking back, I realize I was questioning my capacity to meet what was unfolding.
This is something I have come to recognize about life:
We often encounter something before we fully understand it.
Life introduces us to the next chapter before we feel ready to live it.
And when that happens, the mind immediately tries to create meaning.
It wants to take a photograph.
It wants to freeze the moment and decide what it means.
"This is too much."
"I am not ready."
"I cannot do this."
But what if the moment is not the whole story?
What if we are looking at one frame of a movie that has not finished unfolding?
The name was never asking me to become RoseQuartzMediumship all at once.
It was inviting me into a relationship with it.
A relationship that would reveal itself over time.
A relationship that would grow me.
A relationship that would ask me to become the person who could hold what was already moving toward me.
The company did not grow because I forced it into existence.
The company grew because I allowed myself to grow with it.
It stretched me.
It softened me.
It challenged me.
It invited me deeper into myself.
I did not create the unfolding.
I participated in it.
Years later, I remember slowing down enough to hear the spaces between the words.
Rose.
Quartz.
Mediumship.
And suddenly, I understood something that I could not have understood in the beginning.
The wisdom of the name had been there all along.
I simply needed to become the version of myself who could receive it.
Rose.
The unfolding of the feminine.
The opening.
The blossoming.
The willingness to allow life to move through me rather than trying to force myself into becoming something.
A rose does not rush open.
It does not pull apart its petals and demand that blooming happen faster.
It unfolds when it is ready.
In its own timing.
In relationship with the conditions around it.
The rose taught me that becoming is not something we force.
It is something we allow.
Quartz.
A clear channel.
A structure that allows energy to move.
A reminder that receiving does not mean having no container.
The channel matters.
The vessel matters.
The ability to hold matters.
Quartz does not create the energy.
It allows clarity.
It allows transmission.
It allows something greater to move through.
And this became one of the deepest teachings of my work:
The feminine is the flow.
The masculine is the container.
The water needs the vessel.
The river needs the banks.
The energy needs a place to move.
Mediumship.
This was the word that scared me the most.
Because it felt like relationship with something larger than myself.
Relationship with Spirit.
Relationship with the Divine.
Relationship with God.
Relationship with nature.
Relationship with the intelligence moving through all things.
And perhaps that is why the word felt so big.
Because it was never simply about a practice.
It was about relationship.
Looking back, I can see that I was trying to understand the photograph before allowing myself to experience the movie.
I was looking at the name and asking:
"What does this mean?"
"Who am I supposed to become?"
"How do I know I am ready?"
But life was asking me a different question:
"Are you willing to walk with this?"
"Are you willing to let it reveal itself?"
"Are you willing to become available to what is unfolding?"
The meaning of the name was not found in the beginning.
It was revealed through relationship.
Through years of listening.
Through moments of doubt.
Through moments of trust.
Through every person who entered my world.
Through every teaching that moved through me.
Through every experience that asked me to deepen.
The name became a living thing.
Not because I gave it life.
But because I allowed it to shape mine.
I think this is true for so much of life.
We want to understand before we enter.
We want certainty before we participate.
We want to know the destination before we take the first step.
But sometimes life gives us the name before it gives us the understanding.
Sometimes life gives us the invitation before it gives us the capacity.
Sometimes life places something in our hands and asks:
"Will you grow with this?"
The photograph says:
"I do not know if I am ready."
The movie reveals:
"You were becoming ready the entire time."
The photograph says:
"This feels too big."
The movie reveals:
"You were being expanded to meet it."
The photograph says:
"I do not understand."
The movie reveals:
"You are still unfolding."
RoseQuartzMediumship did not ask me to become someone else.
It asked me to become more deeply myself.
It did not ask me to create something separate from me.
It invited me into a deeper relationship with what was already moving through me.
And perhaps this is the greatest lesson I have learned:
The things that find us are often carrying an intelligence we cannot yet see.
The invitation is not always to understand immediately.
The invitation is to listen.
To receive.
To walk beside the unfolding.
Because sometimes the greatest gifts in our lives arrive before we have the language for them.
Before we have the confidence for them.
Before we have the capacity to fully understand them.
And that does not mean they arrived too soon.
It means they arrived at the exact moment they were meant to begin growing us.
The name found me.
The company grew me.
The unfolding revealed itself.
And I became available enough to meet what had been waiting for me all along.
